Wolfgang (OE5KTM), Dominik (OE5VCO), Christian (OE5CWO) and Franz (OE5AMP) were sitting one evening together at one or two Braun`schen tubes.

The idea of putting a table in the no longer need a motorcycle trailer  to participate at the next contest as / p station from an elevated location.

Ist is too easy to put a beer garden table inside, but it could be better. Initial plans were forged. Launch was 31.12.2012. Until AOEC Contest on 01/05/2013 the Portable Shack must be ready for use.

Planned are three workstations with KW stations, computers, and various antennas.

However, the entire structure has to be well prepared for the winter. That means we have to Isolate.

If possible we need three piee computers from an industrial components manufacturer. The Boss of thic company is also a radio amateur and certainly helps with the project. The computers were connected to each other via a network.

The power supply must be secured, so we need also an aggregate. Inverter, fuses, charge controller and so fit into a 19 "rack. (Some believe when you look in the trailer, the rack was the fridge, but that is not true ... which is in the front vehicle)

Simultaneously with the insulation was also thinking of a heater, which is also controlled by the 19 "rack out.

The lighting inside to take two pieces of LED bands for exterior lighting I come later.

OE5VCO our Digiexperte wants  a Packet Access, and so it had to be installed a TNC2MULTI, which is connected to a Yaesu F-T7800.

If Packet then we need also APRS. And so came another Alinco DJ-V5 for APRS and a OpenTracker USB into the trailer.

As antennas are various wires act, but as a portable 3EL. Is also very tempting. So acquired (Superantennas YP-3). Cause of the mast construction we had to experiment. At least 6m mast and rotate must be there. And so the idea of Wolfgang came to mount a guide tube on the shaft and including the rotor (Yaesu G-1000). Bus and trailer hold a total of about 4.5 tons the antenna structure.

Main Station is the fully equipped Elecraft K3 of OE5KTM. Second station Yaesu FT-1000 MP Mark V of OE5CWO and as third station a Kenwood TS-2000 by OE5AMP.

For 2m / 70cm we had a Dual Bander .... But why not make it a quad bands .... The solution was a Yaesu FT-8900th Various mobile antennas for 2m / 70cm had to be mounted on the trailer.

So what's missing? Well, at least one amplifier for KW needs to be installed and an equal even for 2m to. In order for the various wire antennas also be customized, even a tuner that can withstand at least 1KW.

And when all the antennas can be connected to each station, some Koax-switch must be installed.

Time is running out. We create the completion time before 1 May?

Thus, other antennas can be erected even ca 25 pcs GRP plug masts were purchased. Helps here as a tripod speaker stand, where the plug-mast goes in directly.

Day X is there and the club callsign OE5XTM approved.

One of the most important details of each job is still missing. The standard beer bottle holder 3000 (see picture).

As the first location a nice place was chosen in the area and 245 QSOs with 45100 points. This meant the 16th place in the SSB Low Power Class. Not bad for a start.

More contests followed which include Guest OP's as Hari OE5LHM, Peda OE5OMP or me OE5DRM invited.

Meanwhile the small mast was replaced by a 18m aluminum mast of Spiderbeam and accordingly adjusted the guide tube again.

As a new main antenna a SP-Hexbeam to her, but this has not yet been delivered.

To illuminate the mast and as an aid for installing the antennas in darkness currently helping two pieces 50W and a 120W LED floodlights. The disturbances of the unit have been reduced by more than 90dB Homemade Filter.

OE5AMP the team has unfortunately left the end of 2013, but I joined the team.

The TS-2000 has been replaced by an ICOM IC-7000 and my Mag.Loop is always at the contests here and a vertical G5RV (40-10m).

An APRS Digi and HAMNET access has also been implemented in the meantime.

At the Ham Radio 2014 in Friedrichshafen 500 prospective customers was piloted by our mobile Shack and much explained in the 4 days at the campsite approx.

One of the smallest club stations (4 persons) with an average age of just 29 years to be one of the most successful portable stations in German-speaking countries at the same time fills us with pride and gives us motivation for the next competitions.

Maybe see you soon at a contest or a visual meeting. But at the latest until the next Hamradio on the campsite.
